Bird Song Bound...and I can't wait!

Here is the little ditty that I made for my sponsorship
for Bird Song. I am so giddy with excitement to
be going. I stole these pictures
from Karla.....her son took them and
he did a wonderful job capturing the beauty.

There are even little presents inside for the
participants that attend. This is the most
prepared I have been for an
art retreat. I can't wait to get there. Along
the way we will talk and antique. The 'girlie'
time is really what I crave most.
Also.....art retreats inspire and I can't wait to
get home to create. I hope you have
an artfully creative day.

Preparing for Bird Song

I am getting so excited to attend Karla's
Bird Song event. Actually...I am
giddy like a child counting down the
days. Three out of the four Indiana girls are
attending...Lisa.....Stephanie.....& Me!
Cherie can't go because of a pre-scheduled
church event.

In preparation for the event I made about 40
of these adorable felted bird nests. Shhhh......I
am a sponsor and they are being used
for my little treat. Really they are quite cute.
I am also using them in a couple of swaps. Two of
the swaps are for Bird Song & the third swap is a
one on one swap with the lovely Tina Jensen
of Tiny Bear from Denmark. We 'met' as
swap partners in I believe the very first Speckled Egg
petite inspiration match box swap. We have kept in
touch and now we are doing an independent swap.
She is a very talented creator and we should
have a lot of fun. I hope you have a wonderfully
creative evening.

Dance Marathon.....for Riley Children's Hospital

Yesterday.....Lindsey danced for those that
couldn't. In an effort to raise necessary money
for Riley Children's Hospital.....Lindsey & a wonderful
team of high school students from Bloomington High School
South hosted the 6th Dance Marathon. They danced for those
that couldn't and raised $68,000 for the kids.....or
better known......FTK. She made these cakes for the
Care Fair to be used for the cake walk. I am really proud
of these dedicated students.....way to go!

Dance Marathon.....for Riley Children's Hospital

This Saturday Lindsey & her Dance Marathon Team
will host a benefit to help the children that are
patients at Riley Children's Hospital. I made these
pendants to raise money. All proceeds will
benefit the hospital 100%.....I am so proud of
these students who want to make a difference in the
lives of children. Blessings to you for a wonderfully
creative evening.

Little Easter Vignette

I have been a very sluggish blogger lately. It
has been so drab and gloomy here.
No sunshine....in fact
even SNOW!
So in order to make myself think
it is Spring....I made a few
Springy-Eastery vignettes. Yesterday
I made these eggs covered in
vintage papers. I love the pale blue one
that is made from 1850's vintage ledger paper
I got from Jenni Bolin a few years ago.

I love how they look with my
white ironstone. They really do scream me.

They go nicely with my little white
birds. So maybe these little
vignettes are just what I need to
make me think it is Spring. Today looks
like it might be a beautiful day. A great day to
watch the opening day at the baseball park....
starting with a little double header action.
I hope you have a lovely and inspiring day.
All blessings to you.
